Job Title: Senior Underwriter

Salary: £50,000

Location: Gloucester

Purpose of Role:

  • To develop and grow our clients' business in line with business plans and budgets.
  • To leverage industry knowledge and experience, and work with brokers, staff, and insurers to deliver tailored and competitive insurance solutions.
  • To provide timely and compliant administration and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieving targets and delivering underwriting service standards as agreed by insurers and our client.
  • Providing regular management information as required.
  • Contributing to team activity in line with business plans and budgets.
  • Handling new business enquiries and renewal invitations in line with agreed underwriting guidelines.
  • Liaising with brokers and insurers regarding coverage and pricing as needed.
  • Processing orders promptly, including policy production and invoicing.
  • Making referrals in line with agreed underwriting guidelines.
  • Managing internal mentoring and buddying relations as agreed.
  • Developing strong relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders.
  • Adhering to compliance and regulatory procedures.

Skills & Experience:

  • Technical expertise in insurance underwriting and risk management.
  • Strong business development and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with brokers, staff, and insurers.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of insurance regulations and compliance procedures.
