About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior clinician to lead the delivery of the Bedded Unit Digitisation project within our adult bedded services. As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership to the programme, ensuring the safe and effective implementation of the technology across all clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of the Bedded Unit Digitisation project, working closely with CSU managers, Divisional Directors, and operational leads.
  • Provide clinical leadership to the programme, ensuring the technology is embedded in clinical practice across all appropriate specialties.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure the project is implemented in a safe and clinically effective way.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve access to services for patients, relatives, and carers.
  • Use continuous improvement methodology to drive service redesign and innovation.
Requirements
  • Experience in leading on service development for a specialist area at a senior level.
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategy, policy, and change or innovation projects in specialist areas.
  • Experience in communicating complex information to large groups.
  • Experience in budget management and monitoring.
Desirable
  • Evidence of providing comprehensive briefings to senior management colleagues.
  • Good understanding of the current social and political environment and of Clinical and Corporate Governance issues.
  • Ability to interpret national guidance for the health economy.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Highly developed specialist knowledge across a range of procedures, underpinned by theory.
  • Awareness of care technology developments.
  • Ability to present new or technically complex ideas to a range of stakeholders.
  • Confident and credible presenter, both verbally and in written documentation.
  • Pragmatic approach to project delivery and clinical care.
  • Good knowledge of NHS strategy, policy, and guidance, and of associated policy.
  • Good knowledge of health service management, project management, and change management, and workforce redesign.
  • Ability to make judgements where there are conflicting views on the project.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret in-depth health information.
  • Ability to use databases, spreadsheets, and word processing IT software.
