We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our pharmacy team at Nevill Hall Hospital as a Pharmacy Assistant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing an excellent service and be committed to delivering high-quality care.

Job Description

The successful candidate will work closely with the senior pharmacy technician to continue their development in pharmacy services and career progression. Full training will be provided to complete an NVQ level 2 or equivalent in pharmacy services.

Main Duties of the Job
  1. Carrying out accurate dispensing and distribution of pharmaceuticals to patients, wards, departments, hospitals, and clinics served by Aneurin Bevan University Health Board.
  2. Accurate distribution of stock pharmaceuticals, receipt of new stock into the department, assembly of emergency kits, preparation of pharmaceuticals, and accurate supply of basic non-pharmaceutical information to clients.
  3. Use of pharmacy and other computer systems to carry out all tasks in an accurate and efficient manner.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £22,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Good standard of secondary education
  • Experience to NVQ level 3 or equivalent
