Senior Policy Executive

We are seeking a highly skilled Policy Executive to join our team at the British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (BVCA). As a key member of our policy team, you will play a critical role in shaping the industry's policy agenda and advocating for the interests of our members.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement policy initiatives to support the growth and development of the private capital industry.
- Engage with government, regulators, and other stakeholders to promote the interests of the industry and advance our policy objectives.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform policy decisions and develop evidence-based recommendations.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to build a strong and effective policy team.
- Represent the BVCA at industry events and conferences, and engage with media and other external stakeholders to promote our policy agenda.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in policy-making, research, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of taxation policy and its impact on the private capital industry.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear and concise recommendations.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues and external partners.
- Strong IT skills, with experience of using data analysis tools and software.

The British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (BVCA) is the voice of private capital in the UK. We are the industry body and public policy advocate for the private equity and venture capital industry in the UK. Our membership comprises over 600 firms, including over 250 private equity and venture capital businesses, over 100 institutional investors, and more than 200 professional services firms.
