The Nurse Practitioner - Prison Healthcare will be responsible for providing expert generalist care in Public Health Nursing and First Contact nursing for adults and children in HMP & YOI Parc.
Main Responsibilities- Provide specialist care for chronic disease management working autonomously in prison premises to coordinate patient care needs.
- Delegate duties to junior staff, as appropriate, including junior registered nurses and healthcare support workers.
- Support junior staff within their sphere of responsibility and contribute to Continuing Professional Development of Practice Nursing and Primary Care staff.
- Utilize counseling skills when informed consent is required, particularly with vulnerable adults and those with special needs and learning difficulties.
The estimated salary for this position is £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
