About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Highways Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Tarmac. As a key member of our Highways team, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of kerbing, paving, drainage, and patching works within the Norwich and Norfolk region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of our Highways works program
  • Work collaboratively with a crew to undertake works orders in a planned fashion and to the highest quality
  • Conduct regular safety observations and report any incidents on our Tarmac reporting system
  • Perform pre-start checks on each machine you operate, including hired-in plant
  • Work towards gang targets and minimize costs to maximize profitability, suggesting alternative methods of working when necessary
  • Ensure all plant is safely and securely stored in designated areas at the end of each shift
  • Participate in regular training and development sessions with your line manager to enhance your skills and knowledge
  • Achieve Company and Contractual KPIs, with a focus on year-on-year improvement of Contract/Scheme KPIs
  • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety standards across all works, promoting and developing Health, Safety, and wellbeing innovations
Requirements
  • A valid LGV/HGV license is highly beneficial for this role
  • NRSWA card
  • Experience in construction and highways maintenance works
  • A valid UK full manual car driving license with no more than 6 points
