Our client, a renowned developer, is seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to oversee a flagship project in Cambridge. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in traditional build housing schemes and high-volume construction, with expertise in taking units from foundation to handover.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the site team, reporting to the Contract Manager
- Collaborate with the Site Manager, Assistant Site Manager, or Trainee Assistant Site Manager
- Chair sub-subcontractor meetings to ensure smooth project execution
- Ensure the development is completed in accordance with specifications and the build program
- Develop and implement RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statement) for the project
- Maintain a strong focus on Health and Safety, ensuring adherence to regulations and best practices
- Conduct snagging of sub-contractor work to ensure quality standards
- Manage calls off and materials to maintain project timelines
- Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting key milestones and dates
- Coordinate NHBC stage inspections to ensure compliance
- Control additional costs for non-productive expenses and preliminary expenditures
- Drive quality throughout the construction process, ensuring the development meets internal and external inspection standards
- Take ownership of self-development and the development of others within the team
- Monitor and control the quality of production, approving stage completions and payments to subcontractors
