We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Buyer to join our Direct Procurement Team at Williams Racing. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring high-quality goods and services to support our Formula 1 car development.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and services.
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to optimize total value delivery to the race team.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure best value and robustness within the supply chain.
- Rationalize and develop the supply base to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Provide procurement leadership to internal stakeholders, using expertise and influencing skills to drive best practice.
- Previous experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management is essential.
- Strong technical background and knowledge, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and communicate effectively with design and other stakeholders.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably in an Engineering or Manufacturing sector.
- Self-motivated, innovative, and able to work unsupervised to challenging deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Experience with Microsoft D365 ERP system would be advantageous.
