About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Direct Procurement team as an Industrial Placement. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in coordinating procurement and manufacture of car components and manufacturing services from external suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the procurement team with administrative tasks, such as NCRs, goods in quarantine, BOM creation & inventory reporting.
  • Coordinate meetings, maintain procurement databases, and assist with supplier communication packs.
  • Ensure internal compliance with procurement policies and assist in procurement activities.
  • Manage 1 to 2 suppliers or bought-in components.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and contribute to enhancing procurement practices.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office software.
  • Basic understanding of common techniques to manufacture prototype parts- ideally for motorsport.
  • Strong problem-solving ability, effective communication skills, attention to detail, ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Background in mechanical or automotive engineering.
  • Motorsport experience through internships or personal projects (highly desirable).
  • Proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
