Job Opportunity in Lymington

We are recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join a growing company based in the area. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills and experience in finance/accounts.


About the Role:

This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful, fast-growing SME specializing in bespoke packaging and merchandise for major brands in the health and beauty industry.


Responsibilities:
  • Provide support with accounts payable and receivable
  • Data entry, responding to emails, maintaining accurate records and files, and other general administration duties

Key Tasks:
  1. Assist with each stage of the sales order process
  2. Credit control
  3. Liaising with clients to provide supporting documentation, responding to finance queries
  4. Maintaining comprehensive business cashflow forecasts in multiple currencies
  5. Data entry of financial transactions and balancing ledgers
  6. Assist with bank reconciliation: cross-referencing the accounts against bank statements and other source documents to confirm accuracy
  7. Assist with budget preparation and preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports

Administration:
  • Manage day-to-day office operations, including ordering supplies, handling mail, filing documents and coordinating office activities
  • Act as the first point of contact for all office-related inquiries and liaise with the management team to ensure a smooth workflow
  • Provide administrative support to the wider team, handling ad hoc tasks as required

Requirements:
  • A high level of numeracy skills, minimum 5 GCSEs to include Maths & English to Level 4 or above
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience in Sage would be a bonus, but not essential
  • AAT qualification or similar would be a bonus but not essential

Salary and Benefits:
  • Salary circa £28-30,000 PA, depending on experience
  • 22 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Free parking on-site
  • Part-time OR Full-time

Estimated salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum.
