About the Role

Thames Water Utilities Limited is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Technical Operations Specialist to join our Service Delivery team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Technical Lead in driving smart meter read performance and uncovering areas of improvement through proactive discovery of Operability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the SMOC Technical Lead in day-to-day operations designed to improve overall smart meter operability/health performance.
  • Use tools at your disposal to support the existing SMOC team in uncovering areas of improvement as we undergo department-wide changes.
  • Participate in regular internal and external stakeholder engagements, reporting findings and sharing updates with the Technical Lead.
  • Collaborate with existing members of the team and wider business to achieve goals.
  • Deliver on several initiatives across various workstreams, honing in on unique skill set to ensure all work is delivered on time and to highest possible standard.
  • Triage inbound technical tickets, ensuring faults are managed by relevant parties within SLA.

  • Competitive salary from £39,200 to £45,000 per annum depending on skills and experience.
  • Annual leave: 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with length of service (plus bank holidays).
