About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified social worker to work with children, young people and their families in a challenging yet rewarding environment. As a Child Welfare Specialist, you will be responsible for providing efficient and effective service to meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit written reports as required, including child protection conference reports and legal reports for care proceedings.
  • Attend group supervision when required and provide relevant updates.
  • Attend individual supervision and engage in continued professional development.
  • Ensure all case management complies with statutory requirements and Council policies and procedures.
  • Undertake child and family assessments for allocated families.
  • Practice in line with Council procedures and statutory regulation to support children in care.
  • Familiarise with and commit to equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory practice.
  • Ensure the child's voice is considered in all casework and included in all assessments and plans.
Requirements:

We require a Professional Social Work qualification or equivalent and excellent communication skills.

Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience.
