Child Welfare Specialist

At Island Métis Family & Community Services Society, we provide a range of support programs to Métis children and families in the greater Victoria area. We are seeking an experienced Child Welfare Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis.
SalaryThe salary for this position is approximately $49 per hour.
Job DescriptionThis role involves working with Métis children and families to provide support and guidance. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of social work policies, procedures, ethics, principles, and practice. They will also possess excellent communication skills and be able to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
Required Skills and Qualifications- A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related field (preferred)
- One to two years' experience in family and child welfare (depending on degree)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
