About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Residential Manager to lead our new contextual safeguarding home in Hinkley, Leicestershire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team of residential workers, coordinating staffing rotas, and working closely with the local authority to ensure effective matching and placement of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of residential workers and coordinate staffing rotas
  • Work closely with the local authority to ensure effective matching and placement of young people
  • Create a culture and ethos where the complex needs of individual young people and the group are met
  • Quality assure transition plans and ensure they are aspirational in terms of supporting children to achieve
  • Ensure the physical environment of the home remains at a high standard
  • Hold team meetings to share information, practice development, and address any arising issues with the management team
  • Attend formal meetings to represent the service and/or on behalf of the Children's Services Manager
  • Contribute to service development

Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid UK driver's license
  • Must hold a Level 3 qualification relevant to residential childcare
  • Must hold or be willing to work towards the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young People's Services
  • At least 3 years' experience working with children (within the last 5 years) and at least 1 year at senior level supervision or management experience working with children/young people in a residential setting
  • Sound knowledge and experience of working with OFSTED Regulations and Quality Standards of Children's homes with the ability to support the service to achieve a rating of outstanding
  • Sound knowledge and experience of recording and reporting to enable safeguarding and protection of children & young people
