Financial Controller Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-growth, PE-backed SME based in Wetherby as the Head of Finance. The company has experienced phenomenal year-on-year growth since its establishment and has a clear growth plan to double its turnover within the next three years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the small accounts team to ensure tasks are completed accurately and in line with the month-end timetable.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement and development of the team, supporting and mentoring.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls and processes.
  • Prepare management accounts in line with set deadlines.
  • Review month-end spend analysis and accruals and prepayment.
  • Balance Sheet and Control Account reconciliations and review.
  • Approve payments and manage cash flow.
  • Oversee and manage the annual audit process and prepare statutory accounts.
  • Prepare and review other key financial reports as required.
Requirements
  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified with a minimum of three years' experience in a number one or two role.
  • Experience of preparing management and statutory accounts.
  • Previous experience of managing/supervising a team.
  • Previous experience of working in a high-growth or PE-backed business.
