About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced nurse to join our team as a Head Injury Support Nurse. This is an exciting opportunity to work with patients who have sustained a head injury and various neurological conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support patients who have suffered major traumatic brain injury throughout their hospital stay and post discharge.
  • Navigate patients and families on to further support services as required and in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Develop strong cohesive cross collaborative working relationships with medical staff, ward managers, nurses, therapists, and those involved in direct support of the patients and family members/carers.
  • Take a proactive approach to arranging and supporting patients and their carers through their care pathway, including goal planning and discharge planning meetings.
  • Provide professional advice to district nurses, care agencies, and other staff within the region.
  • Act as a patient advocate at all times.
