About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Document Services Operator to join our team at Canon UK. As a key member of our Information Management Services team, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our clients and ensuring the accuracy and quality of our document management processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, document, scan, and index customer documents with 100% accuracy and within customer SLAs.
  • Develop strong relationships and effective communication with customers and staff.
  • Complete various forms of scanning, including flatbed and automatic document feeder, and prepare documents for scanning.
  • Ensure quality control of documents entered into the document management system, including appropriate indexing and optimum resolution of scans.
  • Manage and maintain organized storage of hard copy documents, ensuring a clear audit and archiving trail.
  • Support the team in manoeuvring and archiving documents, and perform document retrievals as required.
  • Communicate work progress and highlight issues or improvement opportunities to the Team Leader.
Requirements
  • IT Proficient: Confident computer user with accurate keyboard and word processing skills, and a good working knowledge of MS Office, including Microsoft Word.
  • Experience of operating document scanning and print room reprographics equipment is desirable, but full user training will be provided.
  • High level of attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and good written English and numeracy skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills, with a willingness to handle archive boxes up to 15KG.
  • Motivated and proactive, with a flexible approach to work that ensures customer commitments are met.
