Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical expertise and leadership to the team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to patients.
  • Supervise and educate junior doctors, promoting their professional development and growth.
  • Develop and implement clinical governance, audit, and research initiatives to drive excellence in patient care.
  • Collaborate with the Sarah Cannon Research Institute to advance research and development in Haematology.
  • Prescribe chemotherapy and administer Intrathecal chemotherapy as per relevant clinical protocols.
  • Coordinate the junior medical team to ensure continuity in patient care and enhance patient experience.

Requirements:

  • Full and specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) On the specialist register, recognised at Consultant level to practice in the UK.
  • Experience in supervising and teaching trainee physicians.
  • Passionate about Haematology and Oncology Services, consistently striving for excellence through audit and research.
  • Role Model, able to lead a team through effective communication skills and influencing teaching skills.

About the Role:

This is a permanent, part-time (20 hours/week) role, with a salary range of £92,766 - £109,633 FTE (dependent on skillset & years of experience). The successful candidate will be based at London Bridge Hospital, working closely with the existing team to deliver exceptional patient care.
