Mission Leader for Young Adult Ministry Development

The Methodist Church is embarking on an exciting journey to develop its ministry among young adults. As a Mission Leader for Young Adult Ministry Development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping this initiative.

We are seeking an individual with a passion for connecting young adults with God and exploring their calling as followers of Christ. This role is integral to the delivery of our Young Adult Ministry Development Plan, focusing on two key priorities:

  1. Developing and managing a Young Adult Mission Placement Scheme, providing opportunities for young adults to engage in mission-focused placements in local churches and circuits.
  2. Journeying with local circuits and districts to pilot creative projects that promote young adult ministries, enabling them to grow in discipleship and vocation.

This role requires a high level of organization, project management skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. A proven track record in developing and managing complex projects is essential.

You will be working closely with various stakeholders, including circuit and district leaders, to ensure the success of this initiative. Your enthusiasm, creativity, and passion for growing young adult ministries will be invaluable assets in this role.

To be successful in this position, you will need to have a degree or professional qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience. Experience in working with youth/young adults and a strong understanding of their needs and aspirations are also crucial.

We offer a competitive salary package, reflecting the demands and responsibilities of this role. The estimated annual salary for this position is **£42,000-£55,000**, depending on location and experience. We also provide a generous occupational pension scheme, where we contribute up to 16% of your annual salary towards your retirement.
