At Quarsh, a B Corp Certified company, we are seeking a highly skilled Quality and Compliance Engineer to join our team. This exciting new role has been created to support the quality assurance systems of our electronics company, which designs and produces environmental monitoring devices.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our quality assurance systems, ensuring that our products and services meet customer requirements and established standards. This will involve working closely with an external consultant to implement and maintain our quality management systems.

This role requires a strong focus on continuous improvement, with a commitment to compliance with all internal business processes across all functions. The successful candidate will play a key role in preserving our strong global brand reputation.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Managing, leading, and maintaining quality certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and various hazardous area product approvals.
  • Ensuring that audits, non-conformances, and equipment calibrations are up to date and progressed.
  • Overseeing the development, modification, application, and maintenance of standards for quality operating methods, processes, systems, and procedures.
  • Determining present standards and establishing quality and reliability expectancy of finished products.

Requirements for this role include:

  • HNC or higher in engineering or a related field.
  • Auditor trained CQI-IRCA ISO 9001:2015 or similar.
  • Level 5 qualification or above in Quality Assurance.

Desirable skills and experience include:

  • Minimum of 5 years progressive quality experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of manufacturing quality processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA).
  • Knowledge of quality management and improvement practices and programs such as Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, TQM, Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO, etc.
  • Knowledge of SAP/ERP is desired.
