Job Overview

At TE Connectivity, we are seeking a skilled Supply Chain Manager to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain organization, you will be responsible for the timely and cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning, and quality control of production materials. Your goal will be to ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at established levels.

Key Responsibilities

Make commitments to customer orders based on robust material supply and capacity plans
Establish lead times of each operation to meet shipping dates and commitments according to sales forecasts or customer orders
Expedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
Manage the execution of plans and raise manufacturing orders based on capacity
Provide planning support for new projects in the factory
Support continuous improvement ethos and methodology across the organization when needed
Proactively and responsively address customer (internal and external) requirements
Deal with suppliers, place orders, and chase deliveries considering inventory management constraints

Requirements

Strong understanding of the supply chain in a manufacturing environment
Experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment, specifically in production planning
Excellent experience in dealing with production plans and production planning issues
Experience dealing with customers and customer escalations is highly desired
5 GCSEs grade A-C (or equivalent)
Computer literate, with a good understanding of ERP and Microsoft Office software
SAP experience is essential
