Our client, a leading provider of automation solutions, is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer / PLC Software Engineer to join their software team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage individual projects at an engineering and client level, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Develop bespoke software routines and functions for machine/system functionality, utilizing expertise in PLC programming and HMI screen development.
  • Implement safety software in accordance with BS-EN13849, ensuring compliance and quality.
  • Test and quality-check all systems and bespoke software prior to shipping and commissioning, guaranteeing reliability and performance.
  • Commission bespoke systems at Head Office and customer sites within the UK, with occasional overseas visits, to ensure seamless integration and operation.
  • Utilize strong understanding of profinet, ethernet, and profibus industrial communications systems to design and implement efficient automation solutions.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and possess a relevant electrical, electromechanical, or controls qualification, such as HND or above.
