Job SummaryThis Electronics Design Engineer role involves designing, developing, and implementing electronic systems for our F1 cars and support equipment. You'll work closely with our cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities- Design and develop electronic systems, including harnesses, units, sensors, and assemblies, to meet performance and reliability standards.
- Collaborate with mechanical design office to ensure compatibility and optimal installation of electronics systems.
- Generate and support the creation of installation manuals and documentation for trackside installation.
- Investigate faults, generate fault reports, and contribute to mitigation solutions for electronics, sensors, and electrical components.
- Support pre-season car build, test, and rig events to oversee electronics system installation.
- Engage in vehicle performance development and reliability for electrical and electronics solutions.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A University Degree or equivalent in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
- Multi-year experience in state-of-the-art electronics engineering in a high-tech development environment.
- An excellent understanding of English language.
- A strong technical background in racing car electronics.
- Working knowledge of electronics system design, schematic design, PCB layout, and CAD design packages.
- Experience in producing small batch/prototype analogue and digital circuits.
- Good understanding of sensor technologies and support electronics.
- Ability to follow project plans and collaborate on their development.
- Quick decision-making skills and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Solid computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office and CAD/PCB design software.
We offer a competitive salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including multiple rewards packages, competitive bonuses, and year-round health and wellbeing programs.
Other InformationPlease note that this position may require lifting up to 50 pounds, repeated bending, squatting, and manual dexterity. Work environment includes machinery, race cars, 7-post rigs, grinding debris, and hazardous fluids. All employees must comply with our Company Health and Safety Policy and relevant statutory legislation.
