Job Overview

Anderson Knight is currently recruiting a Raw Materials Technologist to join our team in Manchester or Sheffield. This exciting opportunity allows you to leverage your expertise in raw materials and quality control to drive business growth and success.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement effective raw material specifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company requirements.
  2. Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, verifying ingredient quality and obtaining necessary technical documentation.
  3. Monitor and enforce compliance with regulatory requirements, including food safety, allergens, and sustainability certifications.
  4. Collaborate with the QA team to resolve non-conformance issues and contribute to supplier audits.
  5. Inspect and evaluate raw materials in storage, ensuring they meet quality benchmarks and are stored optimally.
  6. Analyze and resolve raw material-related issues, working closely with production, procurement, and R&D teams.
  7. Manage accurate records of technical specifications, certification documents, and testing results for all raw materials.
  8. SOURCE AND ASSESS NEW INGREDIENTS FOR PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT WITH THE R&D TEAM.
  9. CONTRIBUTE TO SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVES BY EVALUATING SUPPLIER PRACTICES AND RECOMMENDING ECO-FRIENDLY ALTERNATIVES.
