About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at GRS Group. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities in the market, establishing relationships with customers, and developing commercial strategies to achieve business growth.
Main Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the infrastructure market, with a primary focus on the Sizewell C project.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, prospects, and project owners to secure new business and expand existing relationships.
- Work closely with the local supply chain to ensure excellent service delivery to customers and identify opportunities for growth.
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to achieve business growth, including identifying and pursuing new revenue streams.
- Manage and maintain a pipeline of business opportunities, including identifying and pursuing new leads and developing relationships with key decision-makers.
- Collaborate with the commercial and strategy team to develop and implement business plans, including identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and developing commercial strategies to achieve business growth.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the divisional MD's on business performance, including pipeline of work and 3-month forecasts.
Requirements
- Commercial experience within the aggregate and waste market, with a strong understanding of the infrastructure market.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels across the business.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to pre-empt and solve problems to the satisfaction of customers.
- Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively with customers and suppliers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results and achieving business growth.
