Lead the Creation of a Nurturing Children's Home

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Children's Home Manager to lead the development of a new, state-of-the-art children's home in Wigan, Greater Manchester. As the Registered Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to shape the home's vision, build a high-performing team, and implement innovative care practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish a new, innovative children's residential service
  • Manage and develop a cohesive staff team
  • Set and review ambitious targets and objectives for the care team
  • Promote collaborative practices with young people and their families
  • Ensure the highest standards of care, safety, and well-being for children in placement

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in staff supervision and management
  • At least 2 years' relevant experience in residential childcare, preferably as a Deputy Manager
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare
  • Full clean driving license
  • Proven ability to provide consistent, nurturing care and support to young people
  • Experience working with children displaying challenging behaviours
  • Flexibility to cover shifts as needed
