Financial Controller

Your new company is a fast-paced Property Development business based around Bicester, which is expected to double in size in the next 3-5 years. As a key member of the Finance Director's team, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference to how the Finance function operates and contribute to the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities:- Produce monthly Management Accounts, income statements, balance sheets, cash flow forecasts/statements, and other financial reports.
- Contribute to year-end audits and statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, controls, and systems, enhancing the overall efficiency of the Finance function.
- Prepare company budgets, partnering with all departments to analyze variances and drive business growth.
- Develop budgeting and forecasting with the FP&A Analyst, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team to inform business planning and strategy.
- Support the CFO in developing the strategic plan for the business, aligning financial goals with overall objectives.
- Analyze data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings, driving business improvement.
- Manage tax reporting, including VAT, R&D tax credits, CIS, and payroll, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead the finance function, overseeing a team of 3 staff members and ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes.
- Hold a recognized accounting qualification, such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA, or have equivalent experience.
- Have experience operating in a similar Finance position, with a strong understanding of financial processes and systems.
- Have experience with system/process improvement, with a focus on enhancing financial efficiency.
- Possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Have experience working in a high-growth business, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities that come with rapid expansion.
- Be proficient in financial systems and Excel, with the ability to analyze complex data and provide insights to support business decision-making.
