Our client is a well-established, mid-sized sporting organisation based in the UK. This is a unique opportunity to work for a high-profile sports organisation that is committed to promoting and safeguarding the sport at all levels.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation. The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with experience in the not-for-profit sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to maintain the financial health of the organisation.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to the board of directors and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with the law and the organisation's policies.
  • Engage with auditors for annual audit process.
  • Contribute to the development of the organisation's strategic goals.

Requirements

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.
  • Professional certification in CIMA or ACCA.
  • Proven working experience as a Financial Controller in not-for-profit sector.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience with creating financial statements and general financial reporting.
  • Excellent accounting software user administration skills.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary within the range of £60,000- £70,000 per annum.
