Financial Controller

Your new company is a fast-paced Property Development business based around Bicester, poised to double in size in the next 3-5 years. We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team and make a real impact on the Finance function's operations and the company's continued growth.
Key Responsibilities- Produce monthly Management Accounts, income statements, balance sheets, cash flow forecasts/statements, and other financial reports.
- Contribute to year-end audits and statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements, controls, and systems to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop and manage company budgets, working closely with all departments to analyze variances and drive business growth.
- Collaborate with the FP&A Analyst to develop budgeting and forecasting models.
- Provide insightful recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team to inform strategic decision-making and planning.
- Support the Chief Financial Officer in developing the company's strategic plan.
- Analyze data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings, driving business improvement.
- Manage tax reporting, including VAT, R&D tax credits, CIS, and payroll, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead the finance function, overseeing a team of 3 staff members.
- Hold a recognized accounting qualification, such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA, or have equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in a similar Finance position, with a strong understanding of financial systems and processes.
- Experience in system/process improvement is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in a high-growth business is highly beneficial.
- Strong systems and Excel skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and drive business insights.
