Assistant Store Manager Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced retail or hospitality leader to join our team as an Assistant Store Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of the UK's leading supermarket brands, known for their exceptional customer service and commitment to excellence.

About the Role

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the store. This will include managing the sales floor, leading a team of sales assistants, and ensuring that the store is running efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the sales floor, including merchandising, stock management, and visual merchandising
  • Lead a team of sales assistants, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities
  • Support the Store Manager in the management of the store's operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance management
  • Ensure that the store is running efficiently and effectively, including managing stock levels, maintaining high standards of customer service, and minimizing costs
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Experience as a Manager or Leader within fast-paced Retail or Hospitality sectors
  • Motivation by results, with a focus on achieving high standards and delivering excellent customer service
  • A high attention to detail, with the ability to understand company procedures and deliver clear instructions
  • Ability to travel within a 45-minute radius of your home location and other locally commutable stores
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach, with the ability to prioritize, delegate, and develop a team driven to achieve specific targets

Please note that the salary displayed is based on a 45 hours per week contract. We are also able to offer 40 and 45 hour contracts, and in these instances, the salary offered would be pro-rated. If you are applying for a role within the M25, you will also receive an allowance of up to £3,090 dependent on location.
