Senior Building Surveyor Job Opportunity

Hunter Dunning Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Building Surveyor to join their team in Romford, London. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to work with a well-established building consultancy, offering a competitive salary of up to £70,000 and hybrid working arrangements.

Job Role and Responsibilities
  • Deliver a full range of project and professional services, working on residential, commercial, retail, education, leisure, industrial, and healthcare refurbishment and remedial projects.
  • Conduct Fire Risk Assessments, with training provided for those who require it.
  • Prepare tender documents and administer post-contract work.
  • Work with JCT Intermediate and JCT Design and Build contracts.
  • Record site information and produce clear, concise written reports.
  • Conduct site surveys and reporting, including Schedules of Condition and Defect Diagnosis.
  • Produce Condition survey reports for planned maintenance and asset expenditure planning.
  • Prepare tender documents for refurbishment and alteration works.
  • Carry out Party wall surveying and Dilapidations.
  • Develop specifications and schedules.
  • Provide feasibility estimates.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a consultancy background.
  • MRICS or MCIOB or relevant experience considered.
  • Excellent client-facing skills and experience in refurbishment and remedial project management.
  • Professional services experience, including condition surveys and defect diagnosis.
  • Fire Risk Assessment experience advantageous, but training can be provided.
