About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Officer to join our Sustainable Finance Research Division at the Blockchain Climate Institute (BCI). As a Research Officer, you will play a key role in advancing our mission to support the application of blockchain technology in the global fight against climate change.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct independent research and analysis on sustainable finance topics, including climate risk insurance, micro-finance, and voluntary carbon markets.
  • Develop and lead end-to-end research projects, including project management, data analysis, and report writing.
  • Collaborate with senior researchers and stakeholders to identify research gaps and opportunities.
  • Communicate research findings through high-quality research papers, presentations, and reports.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including policymakers, industry experts, and researchers.
Requirements
  • Master's or PhD degree in a relevant field, such as finance, economics, or environmental science.
  • Proven experience in research and analysis, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex research findings to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
