Job Title: Employment Coach
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employment Coach to join our team at The Forward Trust. As an Employment Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in prison to gain the skills and confidence they need to secure employment upon release.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) services to prisoners, helping them to identify their strengths and areas for development.
- Work closely with prisoners to create personalized employment plans, setting clear goals and objectives.
- Provide training and support to help prisoners develop the skills and knowledge they need to secure employment.
- Build relationships with local employers to identify job opportunities and promote the skills and abilities of our clients.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our employment services, making recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
- Proven experience of working in a similar role, preferably in a prison or rehabilitation setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with prisoners and employers alike.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and regulations, with the ability to provide accurate and up-to-date information.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meeting the needs of our clients.
