Job Title: Retirement Housing Tenancy Assistant

4Recruitment Services is seeking a skilled Retirement Housing Tenancy Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our customers in retirement living schemes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and deliver a professional service to Retirement Living customers across a designated patch of the retirement living portfolio.
  • Provide an effective provision and delivery of services, facilities, and housing management across a group of schemes.
  • Monitor and liaise with partners to ensure service level agreements are met.
  • Ensure occupancy targets are met through lettings and refurbishments of properties.
  • Meet rent collection and arrears targets.
  • Monitor and reduce issues of anti-social behaviour within services.
  • Communicate customer responsibilities and tenancy compliance.
  • Work with colleagues to maintain good links with local neighbourhoods.
  • Effectively use IT systems, including housing management systems, and maintain professional and timely records.
  • Assess potential customers' housing needs in consultation with relevant agencies and the customer.
  • Ensure the company's Health and Safety policy is fully implemented at all designated schemes.
  • Provide information to assist new customers on services within schemes and local communities.
  • Promote customer involvement at the schemes and encourage participation in events and activities.
  • Coordinate the lettings process to minimise void levels.
  • Travel across the designated patch to deliver an effective service.
Essential Requirements:
  • Social housing background and understanding of housing tenancy management issues.
  • Experience of working with older people.
  • Experience in a customer service role.
  • Experience of liaison with agencies/partner organisations.
  • Formal care, support, or housing qualifications desirable.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
