We are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to join our research team at Durham University. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the evaluation of area-based interventions aimed at improving social mobility and educational outcomes.

Your primary responsibilities will include collecting and analyzing data, developing research proposals, and presenting your findings to various stakeholders. You will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our research team, contributing to the advancement of the project through developing your own research ideas and adapting existing protocols.

About the Job:

This is an exciting opportunity for early career researchers to join one of the largest studies ever conducted on spatial inequalities in education and social mobility within the UK. You will have the chance to develop your skills, work collaboratively as part of a team, and contribute to the advancement of the project through developing your own research ideas and adapting existing protocols.

Key Requirements:

  • PhD in Education or a related field
  • Experience in conducting high-quality academic research, including large-scale primary and secondary data collection and analysis
  • Demonstrable ability to write for academic audiences and communicate complex information effectively
