Job Overview

George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust is seeking an experienced clinician to lead the design, delivery, and implementation of our new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system. As the Chief Clinical Informatics Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the EPR system is clinically safe, underpins quality, improves the clinician and patient experience, and drives efficient delivery of care.

Main Duties
  • Lead clinical engagement with and adoption of the EPR system
  • Support user-centred design, delivery of training, and implementation to clinical teams
  • Drive continuous clinical process improvement in the use of digital technology
  • Develop information that supports and develops clinical practice
  • Develop clinical practice that makes the most of digital technology
Requirements
  • Consultant medical professional with degree qualification
  • On the specialist medical register of the GMC
  • HS Digital Academy Graduate with postgraduate qualification in Digital Health Leadership or equivalent
  • Evidence of on-going continuous professional development in Clinical Informatics and leadership
  • Certified in Clinical Safety of digital systems by NHS Digital
