Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced leader to shape the future of History education at our Ealing secondary school. The successful candidate will lead a supportive and academically rigorous History department, developing a comprehensive and engaging curriculum that fosters a love of learning and critical thinking.

As Senior History Curriculum Specialist, you will provide strategic leadership and direction for the History department, overseeing History teachers and providing support and professional development opportunities. You will foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and teamwork, promoting historical literacy and its relevance to contemporary issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a History curriculum that aligns with the National Curriculum and supports academic excellence.
  • Lead and manage a team of History teachers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork among History staff, promoting shared best practices and innovative approaches.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of History programs, making data-driven decisions to improve student outcomes.


Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in History or a related discipline.
  • A strong passion for History and a proven track record of success in leading and developing History programs.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • A deep understanding of the National Curriculum for History and the ability to create innovative learning experiences.
  • A commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
