Head of Compliance & MLRO

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as Head of Compliance & MLRO. This is a critical role that requires a deep understanding of regulatory requirements and a proven track record of developing and implementing effective compliance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures for AML/CTF
  • Conduct annual risk assessments and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Oversee sanctions and transaction monitoring regimes
  • Develop and implement the Compliance Framework
  • Ensure consistent and effective operation within regulatory requirements
  • Advise on changes in rules and regulations
  • Complete regulatory returns and submissions
  • Manage the Financial Crime and Compliance function
  • Participate in the Executive Risk Committee

Requirements:

  • Experience in compliance and holding SMF16 and SMF17 or substantial experience operating at a deputy level
  • Strong understanding of relevant UK regulatory requirements
  • Detailed understanding of financial services compliance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a banking environment
