About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Lifestyle Coordinator to join our team at Beechwood Grove. As a key member of our care home team, you will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities and events that promote socialization, confidence, and overall well-being among our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement activity programs that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents.
  • Collaborate with the Lifestyles Manager to organize events, outings, and activities that promote social interaction and community engagement.
  • Provide one-on-one support and encouragement to residents to help them build confidence and independence.
  • Assist residents in making lifestyle choices that promote their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Understand and respect the needs and preferences of residents, and adapt activities accordingly.
  • Arrange and facilitate a range of activities, including arts and crafts, music, sports, and other recreational pursuits.
  • Accompany residents on weekly outings and provide support as needed.
  • Run group and one-on-one activities, including art clubs, knitting clubs, storytelling sessions, bingo nights, and other events.
  • Support the creation of new activities and activity packs, and set up for events and talks.
Requirements
  • Experience working with vulnerable individuals, ideally in a care home or similar setting.
  • Ability to develop and implement activity programs that cater to diverse interests and needs.
  • Excellent communication and team working skills, with the ability to work under pressure and with people from different backgrounds.
  • Willingness to learn and obtain relevant qualifications, such as a S/NVQ, if not already held.
  • Ability to work well on everyday tasks related to practical activity planning and implementation.
