Taylor Stevenson Ltd are seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team based in Widnes. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying prospects and winning new business to increase input volumes of food waste, ensuring targeted margins are achieved.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive business growth and increase revenue.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, monitoring trading levels and maximising opportunities for additional business.
  3. Prepare quotes in line with the agreed pricing strategy and re-negotiate terms where appropriate.
  4. Co-ordinate transport to ensure the service is carried out to the correct frequency.
  5. Gather and maintain up-to-date market intelligence within the local area, monitoring competitor activity (services and prices), and communicate as necessary.
Requirements
  1. Good formal education.
  2. Ideally experienced in new business sales within a B2B environment.
  3. Independent, accustomed to working autonomously.
  4. Able to engage with suppliers and build strong, commercial relationships across a range of organisations/contact levels.
  5. Commercially astute, business aware and financially literate.
  6. Strong analytical, commercial negotiation and influencing skills.
  7. Good written and verbal communication and IT skills - must be proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.

37.5 hours per week

Salary-£28,600 with bonus scheme and company car
