Strategic Leadership Consultant

The Cocktail is seeking a highly experienced and driven Strategic Leadership Consultant to join our leadership team. As the strategic referents within the WPP network, we require a leader capable of operating with a high degree of autonomy, collaborating with senior leadership, and significantly shaping the organization's overall strategic direction. This role is responsible for implementing strategic goals, driving account development within the WPP network, and leading complex projects with substantial impact on the company's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Vision & Direction: Provide strategic vision and tactical direction across multiple teams, aligning efforts to achieve organizational goals. Build future scenarios and anticipate upcoming market developments, positioning The Cocktail for continued success.
  • Strategic Leadership & Implementation: Implement strategic goals defined by functional leadership, managing complex projects from inception to completion. Contribute to the development of area goals and operational plans, ensuring alignment with the broader WPP network strategy.
  • WPP Network Account Development: Proactively identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the WPP network. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across WPP agencies, leveraging these connections to drive new business growth for The Cocktail.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with CEOs and C-level executives of sophisticated and complex clients, leading from a position of specialty expertise. Craft tailored proposals and solutions that meet client needs and drive measurable results.
  • Performance Management & Team Leadership: Lead and inspire high-performing teams, fostering a positive and collaborative culture. Achieve organizational goals through effective performance management of both direct and indirect reports. Exercise hiring, firing, promotion, and reward authority, developing and mentoring team members to reach their full potential.
  • Innovation & Thought Leadership: Drive innovation by developing and implementing cutting-edge strategies, processes, and solutions. Stay ahead of industry trends and leverage a deep understanding of global business practices to identify and capitalize on emerging opportunities. Serve as a thought leader within The Cocktail and the broader WPP network.
  • Collaboration & Influence: Collaborate effectively with peers, managers, and directors across The Cocktail and the WPP network to address complex challenges and drive alignment on key strategic initiatives. Influence organizational thinking and decision-making through effective communication and persuasive presentation skills.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and delivering significant business impact.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful business development strategies, preferably within a network agency environment.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationships with C-level executives.
  • Strong leadership skills, including experience building and motivating high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, and driving innovation. Proven ability to manage performance effectively and achieve organizational goals through teamwork.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound strategic decisions with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Deep understanding of global business trends, practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conceptualize, reason, and interpret complex information to develop innovative solutions.
  • Experience managing budgets and P&L responsibilities.
