Senior Bioinformatician

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Bioinformatician to contribute to the development of innovative bioinformatics solutions at our cutting-edge Biotechnology company. As a key member of our research team, you will collaborate with scientists and experts to advance our projects and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and improve bioinformatics capabilities, including new workflows and tools, to support target and drug discovery.
  • Establish and manage a robust and scalable bioinformatics data storage system, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Develop and maintain bioinformatics pipelines, working independently to process and analyze complex data sets.
  • Communicate results clearly to collaborators and stakeholders, presenting findings in team meetings and reports.

Essential Qualifications:

  • PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or Computer Science, with relevant experience in transcriptomics analyses.
  • Significant experience with mammalian genomics and transcriptomics, including prior experience in human genomics.
  • Experience with long-read RNA sequencing data analysis and implementation of NGS analysis pipelines for single-cell RNA sequencing, differential gene expression, and splicing analysis.
  • Proficiency in computing languages, including R and/or Python, and statistical tools for biological interpretation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality data within deadline-driven workflows.
