We are seeking a highly skilled Bioinformatics Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Customer Workflows Group. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bioinformatics and quality assurance practices, ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of our bioinformatics software, data, and workflows.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and maintain rigorous QA protocols and procedures for bioinformatics software, data analysis pipelines, and computational workflows.
- Execute comprehensive test plans, including functional, integration, regression, and performance testing of bioinformatics tools and databases.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of bioinformatics data through meticulous validation and verification processes.
- Collaborate on and maintain comprehensive documentation of QA processes, test cases, validation reports, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., CLIA, CAP, FDA, IEC-62304, GAMP-5) in all bioinformatics QA activities.
- Work closely with bioinformaticians, software developers, and project managers to identify and resolve quality issues, and to improve overall product quality.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a bioinformatics QA or software testing role.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards (e.g., CLIA, CAP, FDA, IEC-62304, GAMP-5) in the bioinformatics or clinical and applied domains.
- Familiarity with quality assurance processes and methodologies in a bioinformatics setting.
- Experience with testing and validating bioinformatics software applications and tools.
- Relevant certifications in quality assurance or software testing.
- Experience with regulatory compliance in a clinical or research environment.
- Familiarity with high-throughput sequencing data and associated bioinformatics analyses.
