Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Database Architect to join our team at Profectus Recruitment. As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-availability and scalable database systems.

About the Role:

  • Design and implement database systems to ensure 99.999% availability, performance optimization, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with a global team of database administrators to provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of storage systems to meet business requirements.
  • Implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions for mission-critical databases.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align with cloud infrastructure and analytics groups.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related fields.
  • A minimum of 12 years of commercial experience in database administration and management.
  • Profound knowledge of database management systems, particularly PostgreSQL, with familiarity in other databases like Oracle, MSSQL, MYSQL, Mongo, and related technologies.
  • Strong comprehension of database design, optimization, performance tuning, and security.
  • Expertise in high availability and disaster recovery solutions, including clustering, backup, and storage.
