We are seeking an exceptional Clinical Oncology Research Fellow to join our thriving Dermatology service. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to our research endeavors.
Main Responsibilities:- Work full-time in Dermatology, with the aim of becoming competitive for a national dermatology training number.
- Organize, manage, and be responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of patients in Yeovil District Hospital and/or Musgrove Park Hospital, in conjunction with Consultant colleagues in the Dermatology Service.
- Participate in the teaching of foundation and doctors-in-training in clinic, as well as medical students.
- Maintain a good working relationship with existing staff members.
- Attend other Hospitals within the Trust if so requested by the supervising Consultant.
- Undertake additional duties in occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances.
- MBBS or equivalent.
- Full GMC Registration and hold a licence to practice at time of applying.
- Evidence of commitment to Continuing Professional Development - willingness to undertake relevant courses.
- MRCP I.
- Willingness and ability to fulfill the key elements of the job description.
- Experience of working in the UK or EU or equivalent healthcare system other than a Clinical Attachment.
- Completed Foundation Year 1 level in the UK or equivalent.
- Completed Foundation Year 2 level in the UK or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience post-graduate training.
- Driving licence or ability to travel between sites.
- MRCP II + PACES.
- Evidence of commitment to pursue a career in Dermatology.
- Evidence of interest and experience in teaching appropriate to Medical students and Doctors in training and the multidisciplinary team.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Depending on experience, the salary will be paid between £43,923-£55,329.
