Job Title: Quality and Technical Author

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Author / Content Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for updating and authoring the Illustrated Parts catalogue and operational data and documentation to international specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Content Creation: Analyze and create high-quality content for the Illustrated Parts catalogue, including repair and production drawings, technical notes, and other source data.
  2. Vendor Data Analysis: Analyze vendor data and in-service reports to identify any impact on customer needs.
  3. Customer Support: Provide answers to customer queries and provide relevant data to meet customer maintenance and operational needs.
  4. Communication: Ensure that all information is communicated in line with company policies, processes, and procedures.
  5. Team Collaboration: Work with others to ensure effective service to customers.
  6. Problem-Solving: Refer complex or airworthiness issues and queries to the correct areas.
  7. Task Planning: Plan own tasks to meet customer needs.
  8. Feedback: Provide feedback on customer needs.
  9. Representation: Represent the department at decision-making meetings trans-nationally.
  10. Project Management: Provide Network/subcontract management to deliver tasks to Time/Cost/Quality.
  11. Strategic Initiatives: Support key strategic projects & initiatives.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience of authoring, verification & validation in Technical Data Manuals specifically the IPC.
  • Good knowledge of aircraft maintenance, repair and production processes and procedures.
  • Practical experience of engineering/aircraft maintenance is advantageous.
  • Project management capability and willingness to get involved.
  • Excellent English Language skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Computer literate & experience of Tech Request tool desirable.
  • Awareness of international standards: ATA100, ATA200, ATASPEC2000, SPEC2200 (iSpec2200) and AECMA Simplified English.
