Position: Lead Engineer – Technical Support Solutions (Expert Guidance & Engineering Assistance)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering expert knowledge in addressing engineering inquiries from governmental and industry partners, concerning the design, safety, maintenance, and operation of systems utilized in operational submarine platforms.
  • Establishing and nurturing relationships with governmental personnel and third-party partners in the submarine sector.
  • Conducting technical evaluations of proposed support documentation for future submarine projects to ensure compliance and readiness for publication.
  • Working autonomously and collaboratively within the Support Engineering Team, participating in various stakeholder meetings.
  • Identifying and managing information to facilitate the Change Approval Document (CAD) process, ensuring timely outputs for review.
  • Overseeing the review and maintenance of various government-sponsored publications, including reference materials and defense standards.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • HNC or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or relevant professional experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Prior experience in submarine operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with submarine mechanical systems and electrical power generation.

About the Support Engineering Team: As a Lead Engineer in Technical Support Solutions, you will engage in diverse and challenging tasks. Collaborating with the engineering team supporting the submarine enterprise, you will interact with various technical authorities and governmental clients to deliver essential documentation for the safe operation and maintenance of current and future nuclear submarines. You will ensure that data supporting technical documentation amendments is accurate and timely, facilitating adherence to program schedules for both in-service and upcoming submarine projects. Your role will involve analyzing and validating equipment and system design information to produce integrated logistic support requirements, contributing to operational instructions and maintenance data through interactive electronic technical publications.
