About the Job


We are seeking a skilled Motor Vehicle Technician to join our Fleet Maintenance Department at the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust.



Salary and Benefits


The successful candidate can expect an estimated salary of £34,000 per annum, with opportunities for progression based on experience and performance. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a range of benefits, including 27+ days annual leave plus bank holidays, moving up to 33 days subject to length of service.



Job Description


The primary function of this role will be to maintain and repair vehicles within the fleet, ensuring they are in good working condition and meet safety standards. This will involve performing routine maintenance tasks, diagnosing faults, and carrying out repairs using diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge.



Requirements and Qualifications


To be successful in this role, candidates must have a City and Guilds certificate in motor vehicle technology or NVQ level 3, as well as a full driving licence and evidence of continued professional development. Desirable qualifications include a C1 + D1 driving licence and MOT testing certification.
