Job Title: Motor Vehicle Technician

About the Role:
At Rubber Duck Cars, we are seeking an experienced Motor Vehicle Technician to join our team in Old Trafford, Manchester.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Use modern diagnostic equipment to diagnose and rectify vehicle faults, meeting with customers to understand problems and provide solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology introduced on our vehicle range, ensuring you can diagnose and repair faults effectively.
  • Carry out diagnosis, repairs, and servicing to the highest standards, adhering to brand specifications and warranty requirements.
  • Liaise with colleagues and supervisors to address complex issues and ensure quality work.
  • Confirm the quality of work through diagnostic equipment and road-testing, working closely with Service Advisors.
  • Complete relevant service documentation, including job sheets, PDIs, and service reports, in line with brand standards and site requirements.
  • Perform vehicle health checks and CitNOW videos in a timely manner.

Requirements:
  • Proficiency in using modern diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to work to the highest quality standards.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A full UK driving license.
  • Experience within a main automotive dealer is preferred, but not essential.
  • VOSA-approved MOT testers are an advantage, but not essential.
  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair NVQ or equivalent.
