ROLE SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our team at Blacklock. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Sous Chef in the preparation and presentation of our dishes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Sous Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of junior kitchen staff
  • Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene
  • Contribute to the development of new menu ideas and recipes
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to achieve excellent service standards

REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Previous experience as a Junior Sous Chef or in a similar kitchen role
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation and presentation
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
